An annual gathering of students and professionals from all over the country for a new perspective on the current trends, innovations and career opportunities in ICT, the Philippine Youth Congress in Information Technology, also known as "Youth for IT" or Y4iT Congress, provides a venue for discovering and evaluating the new technologies that impact our lives.

Now on its 7th year, Y4iT 2009 will be held on September 8 to 11 in UP Diliman. It is hosted by the UP ITTC and UP SITF in cooperation with the UP ITTC Student Volunteer Corps, PSITE, CSP, PCS, JICA, PSIA and itprosasia.com.

The Commission on Information and Comunications Technology conducts a Cyber Corridor Roadshow from June to November this year in the Top 10 Next Wave Cities. These cities, including Metro Laguna, Metro Cavite, Iloilo, Davao, Bacolod, Pampanga, Central Bulacan, Cagayan de Oro, Bulacan South and Lipa, were determined on the basis of an industry scorecard published in the BPAP industry Roadmap 2010.

Teach Lola, pioneers the drive towards encouraging the younger generation to take the first step to bridge the digital divide by teaching their grandparents how to get connected to the world through the World Wide Web. Teach Lola is an initiative of Bayan Telecommunications.
